Overview
In VCE Physical Education, students explore anatomical, biomechanical, physiological, and skill acquisition principles in relation to movement. This includes the human body, training to enhance performance, and the behavioural, psychological, environmental, and sociocultural influences on participation in physical activity.

Pre-requisites
There are no pre-requisites when selecting a PE pathway. PE is open to all students and includes a combination of theory and practical lessons. In Units 1 and 2 there is a strong focus on preparation for Units 3 and 4.
Assessments
School-Assessed Coursework in Unit 3 (25%) and Unit 4 (25%) is subject to external moderation, and there is an end-of-year examination (50%).

Using the Victorian Assessment Software System (VASS), a student is enroled in each of their subjects with both (a) a home school and (b) an assessing school.
