An Old Haileyburian, Mr Doran was appointed to the staff of Haileybury in 1990 after two years of teaching in the Department of Education. He helped establish the Berwick Campus of Haileybury where he was a Primary Teacher, Head of House and Literacy Coordinator.
He has since been involved with every Campus of Haileybury. Previously a Head of Middle School and Deputy Head of Campus, Mr Doran was appointed to the Head of Campus, Castlefield initially in 2000.
In 2004 he commenced as the inaugural recipient of the School’s Advanced Leadership Scholarship. During this period Mr Doran spent time visiting schools overseas, led schools at Edrington and Newlands, and implemented a new strategic plan for the Old Haileyburians Association.
He returned to the position of Head of Campus, Castlefield from 2008 – 2017, and after 14 years in the role was appointed Vice Principal Community Engagement and Advancement from 2018. Mr Doran is a board member of the Haileybury Foundation and an active member of the Old Haileyburian Association.
