NEWS 12 Dec 2024

Two years after Haileybury Pangea was launched in Victoria, and during its first year of operation in the Northern Territory in 2024, our online school is celebrating further VCE successes thanks to our latest Year 12 graduates.

In total, 24% of Haileybury Pangea’s Year 12 students attained an ATAR of 95 and above, placing them in the top 5% of students in Australia.

Building on this achievement, 44% of our students achieved an ATAR of 90 or above, which places them in the top 10% of students across Australia – a two-fold increase on last year.

Overall, a strong 92% of our brilliant Year 12 students achieved VCE results that placed them in the top 40% of students in Australia.

The diligent and motivated class of 2024 managed their online VCE studies with some intensive demands outside their education – they have studied from different parts of the country and the world, trained as elite athletes in a wide range of sports, navigated illness and have played important roles within their regional and rural communities.

Joanna Baker, Haileybury Pangea Head of Campus, says this latest round of VCE results builds on the success of last year’s inaugural and pioneering graduates.

“It has been wonderful to see the continued growth of our community and to see our students flourish and become capable and independent learners,” says Joanna

“Our 2024 graduates have shown incredible maturity and resilience in adapting to a new model of learning for their final years of schooling. The skills they have developed along the way will no doubt serve them well as they embark on their next adventure.

“Each student has a unique reason for enrolling at Haileybury Pangea and their diverse circumstances mean that a traditional classroom setting doesn’t always meet their needs. Haileybury Pangea provides tailored support, enabling each student to successfully complete their education.

“As Head of Campus, it is both fascinating and deeply rewarding to witness their journeys—overcoming challenges, growing as individuals, and achieving success while managing their VCE commitments alongside their demanding lives.”

“As our VCE students enter the wider world, I have no doubt that they will thrive. I congratulate them once again on these excellent results and wish them all the very best for a promising and bright future.”
