Algorithmics
This class runs for approximately 10 minutes and you will hear from Mr Tue Nguyen. Algorithmics provides students with the opportunity to analyse and develop computational solutions to solve real world problems in the domain of science, maths, business and technology.
Biology
This class runs for approximately 8 minutes and you will hear from Ms Sacha O'Connor-Price. Biology explores concepts from the molecular world, including cell structure and cell signalling, as well as topics related to a whole organism, for example, the formation of tissues and organ systems. Students investigate topics such as reproduction, immunity, gene technologies, medicine and evolution.
Chinese
This class runs for approximately 10 minutes and you will hear from Mr Joshua Wang. As a core component of the Haileybury curriculum, the Languages Program not only offers all students the opportunity to learn an additional language, it also allows them to become passionate about and immersed in other cultures.
Global Politics
This class runs for approximately 7 minutes and you will hear from Mr Henry Willis. Politics is the study of national and international issues to help students understand their place in the world. The issues studied are contemporary and constantly evolving and students will have flexibility to study particular areas that interest them
Humanities
This class runs for approximately 10 minutes and you will hear from Mr Matthew Sutton. Humanities covers a wide range of topics including the features of places and how humans develop places for living, the social, economic and political development of Australia as a nation, the need for water, and the key landscapes of coasts and cities.
Mathematics
This class runs for approximately 10 minutes and you will hear from Ms Dominika Kapustka. Students aim to master key mathematical strategies as they consolidate and extend their knowledge of number, using efficient mental and written strategies and application of appropriate digital technologies to solve problems.
